Conversation with Jules is a reflective space for thoughtful adults exploring intimacy, sexuality, attachment, and the layered realities of modern relationships.
It is a place to bring your sexual health concerns, your relational dilemmas, your longings — especially those shaped by culture, expectation, silence, and inherited beliefs about love.
With over twenty years of experience as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, and having worked within one of London’s busiest Sexual Health departments, I have witnessed how profoundly our intimate lives are influenced not only by psychology, but by culture, migration, faith, family systems, and unspoken norms.
I am a Registered Psychodynamic Psychotherapist & Psychosexual Therapist. My specialist training was completed at Tavistock Relationships, where relational depth and emotional complexity are held with care and rigour.
British-born, with Kenyan heritage. That dual perspective informs my work deeply. I understand what it means to navigate love across cultures — to hold tradition alongside autonomy, family expectation alongside personal desire, collective identity alongside individual longing.
My work sits at the intersection of psychological insight and lived cultural reality. I am interested in the tender spaces where love becomes complicated, where attachment meets duty, where desire collides with morality, and where dignity must be preserved — even when circumstances are not simple.
This is not a space for judgement.
It is not a space for easy answers.
It is a space for thoughtful conversation —
about who we are in love,
and who we are becoming.
With warmth,
Jules
